Stabilizing emotions and PCOD

Polycystic Ovary Disease or Polycystic Ovary Syndrome is considered to be a hormonal disorder commonly seen in women. Excess of androgen hormone production is one of the signs of PCOS that leads to anovulation. This condition can be associated with obesity and insulin resistance.

Stress
A combination of hectic life and PCOS would make a woman stressful. And it would make a situation difficult or feel threatened to cope up with it. At times stress could be a motivation to work whereas, too much stress could worsen the situation and would make one question their sense of wellbeing. Excess stress would cause health issues, as well.

Body image
Acne, excess hair growth on the face, weight gain, fertility problems, and hair loss are considered as few symptoms of PCOD. This will have an impact on mood, self-confidence, and body image. These could make a woman self-conscious, reduced self-esteem, and questions confidence level. There could be a drastic change in behaviors such as reducing appetite on purpose, avoiding friends, and lack of interest to socialize.

Other emotional problems
Anxiety and depression are the major issues for a woman with PCOD. There are more emotional problems, such as lethargy, irritability, and short temper. At times women with PCOD would get irritated for no reason, and this would cause problems in their relationships. The situation gets worse when they feel emotionally insecure; hence, doctors recommend their partners and family members to provide a peaceful realm for them.
