How can a woman with a weak uterus get pregnant?

The uterus is a hollow muscular organ situated between the bladder and pelvis in the female body. The eggs that the ovaries produce, travel through the fallopian tube, and, after fertilisation, implant themselves in the lining of the uterus, where it develops into a baby. A weak uterus, also called the Uterine Prolapse, is caused when the pelvic muscles and ligaments weak and can no longer support the uterus.  It has been suggested that a prolapsed uterus can cause difficulty in getting pregnant. Previous pregnancy, advancing age with its change in hormones, can cause a prolapse of the uterus.  However, there have been cases where it has happened, but with careful assessment and with elective caesarean section as the safest mode of child delivery.
